PLEASE NOTE: If driving to the start and then riding, it is HIGHLY recommended that you park your car at Rowville Lakes Shopping Village and ride to the start point at the golf club. This is due to thieving activity at the golf club and surrounds. If you park and leave by 6.55pm you will make the start for 7pm as usual.

Ok time for something new! We will be doing Satans Elbow on the first Thursday Night each month. Satans Elbow is a Devilish ride which veers off the Tourist Road up Janisliegh Road left onto Jones Avenue right at the elbow onto Olivette Avenue then left onto Hughes Avenue where we cross the Tourist road. From here we continue our traditional Thursday night ride up Churchill Drive to One Tree Hill, through Sassafras and onto Olinda. When the first couple of riders get to Olinda they turn back. As other riders see the first riders heading back down they turn around and head to Sassafras.

Be aware this is a tough climb with grades on Hughes Avenue getting close to 20%! If you consider this a bit too tough just ride Devils elbow ride as we will all meet up at Sassafras anyway.

We then stop at Sassafras, have a quick chat and fill our Bidons before going down the 1 in 20 to The Basin and down Forest Road back to Rowville. Remember your lights. If you get lost we meet up again at the top of the 1 in 20. There could be extra bits thrown in depending on requests/suggestions. Departing Waterford Valley Golf Club 7pm.

SAFETY!!! For your own personnel safety lights are required!!! Please check weather conditions prior to leaving home! In the event of high winds and rain Rowville Riders recommends a route change or cancelling the ride.

Rowville Riders highly recommends that riders have their own personal insurance. And recommend that you join Blackburn CC through Cycling Australia. You ride at your own risk.
