Time – 7:45 for a strict 8:00 push off.
We are all being taken on an adventure in the Dandenongs by Jo this month.
This is a route that we rode 6 month ago, yes can you believe it, it feels like just last month…..
Jo,s made a few adjustments to this one, So no Dongalla this time but an additional loop has been added for more gravel fun :)
This is a cracking route through some beautiful forest.
Starting at the basin where there is plenty of parking we will be heading up to the site of the old Doongalla homestead, before taking on the dirty 1:20. The ride does a beautiful loop, skirting silvan dam and then looping back to the basin for coffee.
There is an excellent spot on Mathias Road to stop, take in the stunning view of the Yarra valley and a great group photo shoot.
Now don’t worry about the dog on the Tucker box….. this ride has the dog on the gravel road🐾. So keep those eyes peeled for Heidi😆
Needless to say, it’s the Dandenongs, so expect hills and a good dose of fun.
-This is a no drop ride.
-Not road bike friendly…You could try, but I wouldn’t (and you won’t be smiling on the crunchy stuff like the rest of us)🤣
This is a shorter ride, but will not disappoint and believe me you’ll feel like you’ve ridden twice the distance.
Distance: 40km, 1000m

Please be self sufficient with puncture repair kits and appropriate clothing for the weather conditions.
Rowville Riders highly recommend that you have your own insurance. Bicycle Network or AusCycling are good options to explore if you don’t already have insurance. You ride at your own risk.
