Ride News!!!!!

Hello all,
We currently have almost 130 financial members and another 70 odd members that have limited access to Team App. (can only see the Bean Run, Friday Frolic rides).

Not all members are riding each week with the bunch for a number of different reasons, ranging from injuries, sickness and fitness levels and for those reasons we are starting a new ride option on a Sunday Morning. Starting at a slightly later time, to encourage more of you to come out and ride with the club, (whether its been a while or its one of the above reasons or you just want a chilled chat and ride to spin the legs over) this is what this ride is all about hence the ride name β€œPlan B” πŸ˜‰

With the help of Bill Bouhalis (Triple B), who will be leading these rides, we are going to trial a second Sunday ride, once a month, to start with to gauge interest and feedback.

The Plan B Ride:
This ride is designed for those of us that have been off the bike for a while, or have sustained an injury and lost some bike fitness, or looking to get back into group riding again, or simply new to cycling and are afraid they do not like to hold the group up. If you fit into any of these categories this ride is for you. Definitely a bunch ride, a no drop ride and a much more leisurely pace at no more than 25km/h. (there may be a small section of road that you may extend yourselves but will have a regroup point and all together again) A very conversational paced ride. During the ride we will encourage each rider to lead the ride, encourage to call out and point to obstacles as well as other bunch ride etiquette.

Later Start Time – 7:30am
The first ride will be – Sunday 10th of November

There are so many ride options each week now and we are trying to cater for all fitness levels. Wouldn’t it be great to see every member ride and connect with other members at one of these weekly events -

Tuesday – Zwift Workout
Wednesday – Hump Day Ride
Thursday – Devils Elbow Ride and/or Zwift Workout
Friday – The Friday Frolic (NEW)
Saturday – Monthly Gravel Ride
Sunday – Club Ride and now the (New Plan B ride)

We have a couple of new Sunday routes over the last 12 months, Warrandyte and Upper Beacie and a couple more in the works
