Reporting of the road conditions on the Wall

20 Mar 2019 by Aaron Twigg

Hi Everyone
Yesterday I wrote an email to The state member for Monbulk the Hon.James Merlino
regarding the road conditions on the Wall.
the following is the correspondence so far.

Dear Mr Merlino  My name is Aaron Twigg. I am the leader of a cycling group in Rowville Called the Rowville Riders

I am writing to you as I am deeply concerned about the condition of Monbulk Olinda Rd in your electorate. Parts of the road are currently in an extremely dangerous condition. especially to the hundreds of cyclists that visit the hills and use this road every week including myself.

The road surface is peeling away and has been for over 4 months, it has now reached
such a state of dis repair that I am now very concerned about my safety, the safety of other cyclists and all other road users.

The damage starts just after the Nursery on the down hill side of the road heading to Monbulk. and spreads over some 600 metres with a particularly bad section that covers some 150 metres on both sides of the road. I have included photos for you to view.

It would be very much appreciated if you could direct Vic Roads or the Local Council to repair the road as a matter of urgency. To remove the risk of the damage causing a serious and unnecessary accident

I have emailed more photos in another email that will follow this one

Thank you for attending to this matter

Kind Regards

Aaron Twigg

His office replied today with the following
